Anodic corrosion protection is an electrochemical corrosion-control method for active-passive metals (carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium) in very aggressive conductive liquids like sulfuric or phosphoric acid, caustic soda or potash and in salt solutions (such as liquid fertilizers).

• Keeps stainless steel resistant in hot, flowing sulfuric acid, where corrosion rate would normally be rather high.
• Keeps carbon steel resistant in warm sulfuric acid, where corrosion rate would be rather high and the acid would be polluted by iron. Anodic protection improves product quality and purity, and the product remains “technically pure„.
• Keeps carbon steel in a safe electrochemical environment in warm caustic soda, so that corrosion cracking does not occur.
• Keeps carbon steel in a safe electrochemical environment in liquid fertilizers, so that corrosion pitting does not occur.
• Keeps stainless steel in a safe electrochemical environment during chemical nickel plating so that nickel plating only occurs on the product and not on the walls of the bath / tank. Therefore, anodic protection prevents unexpected cleaning shutdowns and substantially improves operation economy.
